The 80s are back, baby! Here’s a quick culture lesson for you. In the mid 80s there was a boom in teen movies featuring actors in what was labeled the brat back - Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore - they went stratospheric. Here we bring you two of the most popular teen movies from that period. So, chuck on your keds and your bangles, because we’re taking you back to school!

  • Girls School Cinema is a licensed venue, so please bring along valid photo ID to gain entry. Without a valid photo ID you will not be allowed entry, unless accompanied by an adult.

  • There is no pizza for sale at the venue. You will only be able to place orders with Mack Daddy’s New York Slice prior to 5.30pm through the Girls School Cinema website.

With the occasion all but overshadowed by her sister's upcoming wedding, angst-ridden Samantha (Molly Ringwald) faces her 16th birthday with typical adolescent dread. Samantha pines for studly older boy Jake (Michael Schoeffling), but worries that her chastity will be a turnoff for the popular senior. Meanwhile, Samantha must constantly rebuff the affections of nerdy Ted (Anthony Michael Hall), the only boy in the school, unfortunately, who seems to take an interest in her.
